How does tooth bleaching work and how to get white teeth?
The tooth bleaching gel containing an active ingredient called Urea Peroxide. Urea peroxide is broken down inside the mouth and releasing oxygen. The oxygen reacts with the organic stains and discoloration on the teeth and oxidizes them, which makes teeth whiter and whiter without harming the teeth. How does the tooth bleaching process work?
In order to bleach the teeth, two teeth rails are needed (one for the upper tooth row and one for the bottom) to fit your teeth precisely. Naturally, food, drinks (especially coffee, tea, cola and red wine) and smoking will gradually darken the teeth darken with time. To keep your teeth white, you can do periodic bleaching once every 6-12 months.
For how long does tooth bleaching take?
It takes between 10 and 30 hours to achieve optimal white teeth. This depends on how stained and discolored your teeth are from the beginning. Is it safe to bleach teeth yourself at home?
Yes, over a decade of research shows that tooth bleaching with Urea peroxide is safe and effective. Each tooth bleaching system is designed to be easy to use with detailed user instructions.
Can you bleach your teeth if you are pregnant or breastfeeding?
We do not recommend it, so wait until after. There are however no known reasons why you should not bleach the teeth when you are breastfeeding or pregnant.
Are there any side effects or unwanted secondary effects of tooth bleaching?
Some people may experience increased sensitivity to hot and cold in the teeth and gums, this is only temporary. The tooth bleaching gel is specially formulated to avoid an icing feeling in the teeth, and does not contain the substances that would otherwise cause icings. Some people may experience irritation of the gums if you have sensitive gums, then use a thin layer of petroleum jelly on the gums before each bleaching stage. There are no other side effects or adverse reactions.
Can tooth whitening damage the gums?
No. The fact is that the dental bleaching gel will improve and clean the gums through its antiseptic properties. Some people may get irritation if you have sensitive gums, what you can do is to apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly on the gums before bleaching so there is no irritation. Any irritation is brief and disappears after 1-2 days.
How should I store the tooth bleaching gel and how long is it usable?
The best way to store the tooth bleaching gel is in the fridge. If you store the gel in the fridge it is long-lasting for up to 1 year from date of purchase. In room temperature, the gel is reliable for up to 6 months. What happens after this time is that the strength of the bleaching gel begins to decrease.
What is a dental shade map?
Dental shade map allows you to easily see and measure the performance of your tooth bleaching. A professional tooth shade map is included in most tooth whitening systems and can also be purchased separately. Make sure to get a tooth shade map when you buy the dental bleaching.
Is tooth jewelry affected by tooth whitening?
No, the teeth can be faded with tooth jewelry, they will not be bleached or affected.
Can I bleach artificial teeth? (eg plastic or porcelain)
Artificial teeth, crowns, fillings or other dental work will not be affected at all. Dental bleaching does not harm the artificial teeth or dental work (eg repairs). You may still bleach and the results will be better than if it had not been bleached.
Can I bleach although I have a wire on the back of the teeth?
Yes, tooth bleaching is not damaging or affecting the steel wire.
